1.  How is my child posted?

2. How do I submit my school choices and what is the deadline for submission?

A unique S1 Personal Identification Number (S1 PIN) can be found on the top-right hand corner of the S1 Option Form. Students should use the S1 PIN to log in to the Secondary 1 Internet System (S1-IS) and submit their S1 school choices and options online. The S1-IS will be accessible from 11.30 am on Wednesday, 20 November 2024 to 3.00 pm on Tuesday, 26 November 2024 through MOE Sec 1 Posting website.

3. How do I get to the school by public transport?

 Bus: 187, 188, 945, 991.

4. What are the PSLE score ranges for Swiss Cottage? (2023 PSLE score range)

 Posting Group 1:                  25 – 26

Posting Group 2:                  21 – 22

Posting Group 3:                  6 – 11

Meeting the indicative cut-off point does not guarantee admission to the school. The current year’s PSLE Score ranges may vary depending on the cohort’s school choice patterns and cohort size.

5. What time does school end and start?/ What are school hours in Swiss Cottage?

School starts at 7.30am (except for Tuesday, which starts 8 am) and ends around 3 to 3.30pm from Monday-Thursday depending on the timetable, and 12.30pm on Friday.

6. How often does the school conduct Home-based Learning (HBL) and how is it conducted?

HBL is usually conducted once every fortnight, typically on even week Fridays in Semester 1. The arrangement for HBL may change in Semester 2. Students will be informed accordingly. Students will be given assignments or work to be done based on the timetable. Subject teachers will inform them of the work accordingly.

7. What is the typical class size in Swiss Cottage?

Classes typically consist of 35 - 40 students.

8. Does the school have resources to support Special Educational Needs (SEN)? What is the support provided?

Yes. The school supports students with additional needs. We have a SEN Officer (SENO) who will work with teachers to help the students transit to the new learning environment and cater to their learning needs. 

9. What are the monthly fees for secondary school?

Singapore Citizen                                           : $5.00

Singapore Permanent Resident SPR            : $620.00

International Student IS(ASEAN)                   : $1,030.00

International Student IS (NON-ASEAN)        : $2,050.00

SINGLE TIER MISCELLANEOUS FEES      : $20.00

 SC student pays $25/- per month. SPR pays $640/- per month. IS(ASEAN) pays $1,050/- per month. IS(NON-ASEAN) pays $2070/- per month.

10. Does the school offer financial assistance to needy students?

Yes. The school offers financial assistance to needy students.

The income eligibility criteria for MOE Financial Assistance Scheme (MOE FAS) & School Financial Assistance (SAC FAS) is as shown below:-

11. Will my child be issued a Secondary School Smart Card/ Concession Card?

Yes. The Secondary School Smart card/ Concession Card will be issued some time late March. In the meantime, secondary 1 students can continue to use their Primary School Smart Card.
