Character and Values Education
CCE is a platform which we inculcate core values which guide individual’s behaviour. In the weekly lessons, students will be taught explicitly on
- a) School Values
- Passion
- Resilience
- Integrity
- Dare to try
- Empathy
- b) Social and Emotional Competencies which refers to an individual’s ‘acquisition of skills to recognise and manage emotions, develop care and concern for others, make responsible decisions, establish positive relationships, and handle challenging situations effectively’. It is important that students acquire the skills, knowledge and dispositions that will help them face future challenges with resilience and tenacity. The 5 domains are

- Social Awareness
- Self Management
- Relationship Management
- Responsible Decision Making
Teaching of these associated skills can be through structured learning experiences or through incidental learning moments. Students equipped with these skills, anchored in sound moral values will be able to demonstrate good character and citizenship.
